Reflecting

I've had a lot of time on my hands lately. My babies are totally spoiled. How does that even happen with twins!? Anyway, they like to/DEMAND to be held during the day so I watch a lot of tv. I've been watching some of the baby shows and it seems like almost always during a c/s the baby is taken straight to the nursery after mom sees it. I am SO thankful that my babies stayed in there the entire time. Once they were evaluated and wrapped, Dan held them right next to me. As soon as I was stitched up and transferred to my new bed I got to hold them both skin to skin for a little over an hour in recovery. At that time they were taken to the nursery and Delaney went to NICU so I didn't get to hold her again until the following evening. I am SO thankful that my hospital policy is what it is because I will treasure that first hour with both of my girls in my arms forever.
