3 weeks postpartum

I have to say that overall my recovery has been a breeze. I was walking to the bathroom about 16 hours after my surgery and walking the halls of the hospital about 30 hours after. The nurses and doctors all complimented me and told me how great I was doing and that encouraged me to keep moving as I was told that would help the healing process.

Once I got home I had a few days where I was more sore than others and the first night or so of getting in and out of bed was uncomfortable without the button to lift and lower it but then I felt pretty good. My incision seems to be healing fine from what I can tell, bleeding has pretty much stopped and other than a little soreness to the touch I can hardly tell anything happened!

I'm also down 30 pounds which means I only have 10 pounds to go until I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Hopefully I'll continue to lose like I did when I was nursing Nolan and get down below that weight as well. I would imagine that nursing twins should aid in that area!!

Speaking of the twins, they're doing great. They still sleep a lot but are starting to be awake a little more here and there. They take turns being the "needy" twin which is nice. ;) I try to spend time holding them together during the day and after Nolan goes to bed since they don't sleep together. They are in seperate beds at night but during the day spend some time together in the pnp. I got out the bouncy and swing today and they are very happy in those as well. So far, we're lucky. ;)

Nolan is doing great too! He's adjusting to being the big brother and loves his little "sis"'s. He's acting out less and less so I think he's over the jealousy too. We're trying to give him as much one on one attention as we can and I think that's helping.

I'm doing great! I was only ever sad for a couple of days and it was when Nolan was just really not liking me. He was very jealous and wanted nothing to do with me and it broke.my.heart. Luckily, he loves me again and life is good!

We are very blessed. :)
