So, I'm still exclusively nursing the girls. We still can't tandem feed so I spend about 45 minutes every 3 hours (during the day- 5 sessions total) nursing them one at a time.
I'm glad I'm able to but sometimes it would be really nice to be able to let someone else feed them (without then having to pump), especially when we're out and about. It's kind of hard to bring breastmilk with you for a bottle.
Anyway, on May 1st I started pumping each night at 10:30. The girls eat last at 7 and then sleep all night so it a) builds a stash and b) helps me sleep more comfortably and wake up not so engorged. After a little over a month of pumping once a night (most nights) I'd say I have around 200 ounces frozen! For one baby that would seem like a lot... but for two, not so much. It's okay though... I'm not planning on going back to work until fall so by then I should have plenty stored up. EXCEPT that I'm running out of room in our freezer. Tonight I pumped nearly 10 ounces (that's the most yet) so that's a good size bottle for each babe. Whoohoo! Just call me MooCow. :)
If we had a house I'd invest in a deep freeze... but for now I guess I'll just keep shoving frozen milk anywhere I can find a spot. :-/
